7. Media Loading Procedure

Mount the media on the media feeding rollers.

As the media is heavy, at least two persons are required for the loading operation.
Take care not to drop the roll. Dropping the roll on your foot may result in injury.

Feed the media a distance of approximately 1 m.

1. Set the rotation direction switch on the media feeding system.
2. Press down the “I” (Manual) side of the selector switch on the media feeding system.
3. When the media has been fed approximately 1 m, return the selector switch to the position between the “II” and “I” markings (the OFF position, “O” ).

1. Raise the press roller control pole.
2. Remove the screws from the flap at the rear of the printer and open the flap.
3. Insert the leading edge of the media from the rear of the printer towards the front.
4. Align the left edge of the media with the rear guide and front guide scales at the left of the printer, making sure that the media is not loaded at an angle.
5. Lower the press roller control pole to hold the media in place.
6. Close the flap and Replace the screws to the flap at the rear of the printer.
7. Align the media edge guards with the left and right edges of the media.
