8-1. Setting the Print head Drive Voltage

The optimum drive voltage varies with each print head. Follow the procedure given below to register the EF values printed EF data sheet; “Print head Efficiency Factor (EF) Data for XJ126 Print heads” into the print head package to the printer.

caution
If the power supply has been turned off, remove the wet keeping frame, and then turn on the power supply.

  1. From the main menu, select [Print Para] and then press the ENTER key.
  2. From the submenu, select [PH Volt Set] and then press the ENTER key.

  3. Enter the EF values for PH1 to PH8, and then press the ENTER key.

    caution
    Enter the “Recommend EF Data” when you register it into your printer.
    Example: If the Recommend EF Data is 0.85, enter 0085.

  4. Return to the main menu, select [Application], and then press the ENTER key.
  5. From the submenu, select [Curve of ink] and then press the ENTER key.
  6. Select “0003 Xr2S JS”, and then press the ENTER key.
