Virtually every aspect of my experience with Graphtec and my FC8000 cutter has been a pleasurable experience. The FC8000 here cuts thick rubber resist for sandblasting art glass effortlessly with an amazing level of intricate detail. A sample of my work includes this Victorian design converted to carved art glass using Adobe® Illustrator through the provided Cutting Master plug-in.


Hand cutting rubber resist was a painful and tedious task here prior to purchasing a FC8000. Formerly, it would take anywhere from two to seven hours to hand cut the resist per glass panel. Now, the focus has shifted to the design and execution of the carving.

The FC8000 has opened up entirely new possibilities in the genre of carved art glass.
