The CSX500 series scanner is a full color large format scanner with enhanced performance at a reasonable price. The CSX500 is the fastest scanning in this class - high precision, high quality scanning. The CSX500 supports Adobe® RGB compatible color space includes advanced multifunctional software and environmentally friendly design. Graphtec Color scanner with stand and catch basket.
Graphtec is a leading manufacturer of powerful yet easy to use color and monochrome large format scanners for a wide variety of applications including Graphic Arts, Fine Art, Photography, Pre-press, Reprographics, Point of Purchase, GIS, Mapping, CAD, AEC and document archiving markets. Graphtec large format scanners all use Contact Image Sensor technology, which greatly increases the reproduction quality and reduces scan time.
Graphtec CSX550 is one of the lightest wide-format scanners on our line up and offers high resolution. However, if you have any questions on using the scanner, the customer support is scant.
Graphtec CSX550 is a large scanner that can capture images as fast as 4 inches per second. This scanning device features high resolution, a sleek design and full color capabilities. The Graphtec scanner can also scan up to 36 inches wide, and features CIS sensor technology. This scanner is only 43 inches wide, 38 inches tall and 28 inches long. It also weighs approximately 85 pounds, making it one of the light.
When using this wide-format scanner, you can scan images up to 36 inches wide and 39 inches long. This device features full color capabilities and high resolutions. It has an optical resolution of 1200 dpi and a maximum resolution of 9600 dpi. Furthermore, this device can scan up to 4 inches per second for color images and 12 inches per second for gray scale. This 36-inch scanner also offers software enhancements such as Scanning Arts2 for Win, which allows you to easily print your images without the need for extensive and additional software.

Graphtec proprietary color matching technology enables production of images with accurate color reproduction and uniformity.
Overall color is not good in other scanner. It is required the adjustment in an onerous way for matching the color.
In the CSX series, the color can be matched by simple calibration.
Advanced scanning engine - Luxios®
Luxios™ color engine offers an enhanced sensor which is expanded to 48-bits that can produce scans with greater accuracy and speed. It is also compatible with Adobe RGB mode, allowing for a wider gamut of color reproduction.
Hi speed (CSX550-09; A0 size, color 24-bits, 400 dpi: in 15 seconds)
Real Image (high-fidelity color reproduction with proprietary technology)
Luxios® High Speed
The fastest scanning speed in its class
Graphtec America has improved the total throughput time by combining the fastest feed speed with optimized 64 bit technology.
Graphtec scanners have the following two scanning mode:
(1) Scan only (2) Scan and File
In the image processing, the scanned image is required to be edited before it is saved to the file. Graphtec scanners exhibit a faster throughput when it is used in this image processing way.
In other scanner, the “scan only” mode is not available. The editing of the image will be waiting until the scanned image data is saved.
Enhanced the image quality
Produces high-quality images by using a new digital processing system.
The RGB colorshifts that typically occur between 200 and 300 dip and greatly reduced by Graphtec newly designed digital processing system. This means that high-quality image are available at fast scanning speed.
Reduced the ghost on the image
Produces images of sharp edges by using a new digital processing system.
The blurry image is not appeared around the characters and lines. The characters and lines have always sharp edge.
Supported the Abobe® RGB compatible color space
Support sRGB and Abobe® RGB compatible color space for wider color reproduction. The Abobe® RGB compatible mode supports a wider color space than sRGB. It improves color reproduction of the printed document.
sRGB · · ·it is a standard color space for use on various devices such as monitor, inkjet printer, camera, and others. The hue and saturation are specified to unify the differences in color reproduction between devices.
Adobe RGB · · ·it is an RGB color space developed by Adobe Systems. It was designed to encompass most of the colors achievable on CMYK color printer. It can be represented colors on the printed document that can not be represented in the sRGB.
Enhanced the Gray Scan mode
The brightness of color on the document needs to be detected for scanning the document in the grayscale mode. Triple light source in the CIS is used to create white light for scanning in the grayscale. Cyan, magenta and yellow colors are recognized in the same level as other colors.
When the setting of the Gray balance on the software is set to the OFF, the single light (green) sourse is used for scanning the document. The detection of color brightness for green and magenta color is emphasized.
When the setting of the Gray balance on the software is set to the ON, the triple light (R, G, B) souse is used to create white light for scanning the document. The detection of color brightness for green and magenta color is not emphasized. Cyan, magenta and yellow colors are recognized in the same level as other colors.

*1 Actual scanning length varies depends on the condition of scanned document and the performance of the PC. The scanning of long length documents is not guaranteed, because it can be affected by the accuracy of the document alignment and the condition of the document itself.
*2 The scanning speed varies depending on the performance of the PC. The scanning may be slower when the resources of the PC are shared with other application software. The scanning speeds above were measured using the following PC:- .
· CPU: Core 2 Duo 2.5GHz
· Memory: 4.0GB
· Interface: USB2.0 (High speed)
*3 The scanning accuracy may vary depending on the operating environment and the quality or thickness of the scanned document. The accuracy figures above were measured under the conditions described below.
· Test chart used: Mylar sheet #300, 841 mm x 1,189 mm
· Guaranteed accuracy condition: Temperature 20 +/-3deg.C ; Humidity 60+/-10%R.H.
· Guaranteed scanning accuracy range: Width 800 mm Length 1,000 mm
· Optical resolution: 600dpi High-quality (Gray)
*4 The light source used changes with the selected scanning mode.
Gray: (Disabled the Gray Balance mode) Uses a single light source (Green only)
Gray (RGB): (Enabled the Gray Balance mode) Uses a triple light source (Red, Green, Blue) to create white light
*5 The average power consumption during normal operation.
